Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to take vote of confidence from National Assembly.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) for Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Thursday said that despite the fact that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) emerged as largest party in Senate, Prime Minister Imran Khan took a bold decision to seek vote of confidence from the National Assembly.

The Special Assistant, in a tweet, said that the prime minister’s decision is a challenge to opposition, which either has to show its majority in the house or be held accountable for vote buying during elections of the upper house of the parliament.

It is pertinent to mention here that after an upset win at the hands of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in today’s Senate election on Islamabad seat, Prime Minister Imran Khan has made the decision to take vote of confidence from the parliament.

This was announced by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a press conference in Islamabad along with other federal ministers.

The foreign minister said the decision would clarify everyone’s real position, adding that they will continue to fight the battle of right and wrong.
