Govt will challenge Yousaf Raza Gillani's win in Senate Election: Shahbaz Gill
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Dr Shahbaz Gill has announced that the result of election between Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and Yousaf Raza Gillani will be challenged.
In his tweet following the announcement of results by ECP, Shahbaz Gill said the winning difference was only 5 votes while 7 votes were rejected, we will now challenge this result.
He wrote that PTI’s Fauzia Arshad has won by 13 votes. Assembly members sold votes for money on the same ballot paper, proving Imran Khan correct.
He said that once again, vote was sold off in Senate elections. After the video of Ali Haider Gillani came out, it became clear that the "Gilani clan" was buying votes.
