PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz released from jail

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Leader of opposition in Punjab Assembly and PML-N Central Vice President Hamza Shahbaz has been released from Kot Lakhpat Jail on bail.

Earlier, the accountability court had ordered the release of Hamza Shahbaz in assets beyond means case. Surety bonds for Hamza Shahbaz’s bail were submitted before duty judge Akmal Khan in the accountability court. The bonds were submitted by Idrees Bhatti and Adeel while Chaudhry Masood Akhtar appeared as his grantor.

The court maintained that the Lahore High Court granted bail to Hamza Shahbaz. Hamza Shahbaz s bail bonds have been submitted which are approved. If Hamza Shahbaz is not wanted in any other case, he should be released while Hamza Shahbaz will appear in person at the hearing of the case on March 4.

Meanwhile, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz while talking to media in Lahore said that Hamza Shahbaz is a party worker like me, we will both serve the party, Hamza Shahbaz bravely fought the false case. Hamza Shahbaz was unjustly jailed for 2 years, she added.

She said that things might not come to opposition long march and ruled out that there is any change for Imran Khan to come back in power if he is sent packing.

Talking about Daska by-elections, Maryam Nawaz said that PTI is now fleeing from re-election as their rigging has been exposed.
