PM lays foundation-stone of first-ever Central Business District in Lahore

PM said that central business district project will boost business activities across the country.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday laid the foundation-stone of the country’s first-ever Central Business District, a commercial hub aimed at ensuring ease-of-doing-business, in Lahore.

While addressing a ceremony after laying the foundation stone, the PM expressed his confidence that this plan will help generate 6000 billion rupees.

In the first phase, he said this project will generate 1300 billion rupees and the federal government will get 250 billion rupees in taxes.

Imran Khan said that when he took charge as the PM, Pakistan’s economy was in horrible condition due to loans. However, the current account surplus remained during the first six months of current fiscal year, he expressed.

The PM said that PTI government has signed a liquefied natural gas (LNG) agreement with Qatar today to save 300 million dollars.

Referring to Naya Pakistan Housing Project, the premier said this will provide affordable houses to the salaried class and the labourers.

It is to be mentioned here that PM Imran Khan has arrived in Lahore on a one-day visit where he is scheduled to chair different meetings.

The PM has met Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar and got briefing over the provincial administrative and other matters.

On the occasion, Imran Khan said that the PTI government is determined to provide relief to the people of Pakistan. He further appreciated the performance of Punjab government regarding steps against land mafias and inflation.
