A new spell of monsoon rains started in the country that will continue for three days.

The new rain spell will lasted until Saturday or Sunday in the upper regions of the country.Scattered rains are expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Hazara, Malakand, Kohat and Kashmir during the next 24 hours while rain with thunderstorms and strong winds is likely in lower Sindh.Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Hazara Division, Kashmir and surrounding areas received rain during the last 24 hours but the maximum rainfall, 80 millimetres, was recorded in Jhelum.The maximum temperature in the country, 47 Celsius degree, was recorded in Dalbandin, Balochistan on Thursday.
