Senate election: PM Imran announces to support PML-Q candidate Kamil Ali Agha
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced his support for PML-Q candidate Kamil Ali Agha in the Senate election during meeting with its leadership.
According to details, PML-Q leadership called on PM Imran Khan, Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi, Tariq Bashir Cheema and Moonis Elahi were also present during the meeting.
In the meeting, the issue of Senate election was discussed. On the occasion, the Prime Minister announced his support for the name of PML-Q candidate Kamil Ali Agha in the Senate election.
Meanwhile, the government has formed a committee for Senate election comprising on Speaker Pervaiz Elahi, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.
Prime Minister Imran Khan assured the League leadership that he would proceed with the consultation of allies regarding the Senate election. Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak and Shafqat Mehmood attended the meeting on behalf of the government.
In the meeting, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also invited the Prime Minister to inaugurate the new building of the Punjab Assembly, which Imran Khan accepted.
