Bilawal should show required numbers for no-confidence motion: Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari should show the numbers required if he wants to table a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Addressing a press conference with Deputy General Secretary Ataullah Tarar at Party Secretariat Model Town Lahore, Ahsan Iqbal said that PPP’s proposal of no-confidence motion is not a new one, and has previously failed during Senate elections despite adequate numbers.

“PML-N believes that if Bilawal has enough numbers for a successful no-confidence motion, he may share them with us”, he added.

The former Interior Minister said the only way to oust the government is a decisive long march, for which March is the ideal month.

Responding to a question, he said that the Broadsheet issue would turn out to be a fraud like the Panama scandal. He criticized Justice (retd) Azmat’s appointment as head of the inquiry committee, saying that the purpose of such appointments is to ‘cover up’ the matter.
