Lahore's Orange Line train used 3.5 million units of electricity in December

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has issued a bill of Rs 97.2 million to the Orange Line train for using 3.5 million units of electricity in just one month.

According to sources, power supply is being provided to Orange Line train by constructing two GIS grid stations. LESCO takes readings of the two stations on the 5th of every month, followed by billing.

The Orange Line train used 2,200,000 units in Iqbal Town Division and 1,300,000 units in Baghbanpura Division.

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has fixed January 21 as the due date for payment of the bills.

It may be recalled that last month, the Orange Line train management had paid the bills on time.
