Washington Post says US looks for new routes to Afghanistan due to deteriorating Pak-US ties.

The talks are being held with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan for supplies. By 2009 about 90 percent supplies were being sent through Karachi. But now 40 percent supplies are already being sent through northern countries. By the end of this year there are plans to send 75 percent of supplies through northern countries. Though Pakistan has not threatened to halt the supplies, US was taking the step as a precautionary measure.
