QUETTA (Dunya News) – Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Thursday said that tendering resignation is not considered a solution to anything in a democratic system and the parliamentarians do not enter politics to resign, but to solve public problems.

Talking to media at Civil Secretariat on Thursday, he said that the opposition should wait for five years and then go to the public, adding that there needs to have a national consensus on national issues that are in the public interest.

The chief minister said that many amendments have been made in the 1973 constitution and the 18th amendment has given more power to the provinces. “National dialogue for progress should be held in the country which could improve living standard of public,” he said.

Jam Kamal went on to say that Gwadar is important not only for Balochistan but also for Pakistan, adding that anti-state elements are looking for an opportunity to target Gwadar or CPEC.
