Opposition wants abolishment of NAB: PM Imran
PM lays foundation stone of university and hospital in Hafizabad
HAFIZABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday said that opposition parties only want abolishment of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) so that their theft can stay hidden.
PM Imran, while addressing a public meeting, said that in the past the anti-graft watchdog was under influence of previous governments but now it is fully independent. No matter how many rallies Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) holds, I will not spare them until they return the looted money, he stressed.
PM Imran also announced that by 2021 every resident of Punjab will get health card, which will be beneficial for weaker segments of society as the card offers free treatment of up to one million rupees. It is duty of government to fulfil the needs of the masses, he said.
He further said that for the first time in Pakistan, government established shelter homes and also launched Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme so poor people can construct their own home with loans from banks at only 5 percent interest.
He also vowed to introduce uniform education system in the country.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also laid foundation stones of development projects of Hafizabad University and District Headquarters Hospital in Hafizabad.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also addressed the rally. He said that according to PTI’s manifesto, the provision of education and health facilities is our priority.
Earlier, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that under PTI government, backward districts are being developed and today, the foundation stone of a modern hospital and university worth billions of rupees will be laid in Hafizabad.
The Special Assistant said that Hafizabad, a very important city of Punjab, had been kept underdeveloped for decades. But today, Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of a 118-kanal university, worth Rs 4,500 million, and a 400-bed DHQ hospital, worth Rs 2,000 million, during the largest rally in Hafizabad’s history.
