PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service has resumed on Saturday after installation of new parts and load and road testing following a 40-day suspension.

The operation was halted after repeated incidents of buses catching fire. The Chinese engineers inspected all buses and the service has now been restored over the bus company’s recommendation.

People have expressed happiness over resumption of the BRT service, however, showed reservations too. Over three million passengers had travelled via the BRT in one month before its operation was halted.
