Sindh govt directs food department to release wheat from October 16

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh Cabinet has directed the Food Department to release wheat stocks from October 16 and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed the district administration to get flour prices under control.

The Sindh cabinet has once again demanded that the federal government should withdraw the presidential ordinance regarding the islands off the Southern coast.

This emergency meeting of the Sindh cabinet, held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, was convened on the wheat pricing complaint by the federal government.

In the meeting, the price of wheat was fixed at Rs 3687.50 per bag. According to CM Murad Ali Shah, the ex-mill price of flour will become Rs 9.13 per kg after this decision.

Giving a media briefing after the meeting, Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that wheat became more expensive due to the incompetence of the federal government.
