Pakistan has initiated largest social protection program: Sania Nishtar
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr. Sania Nishtar says Pakistan has initiated the largest social protection program in the history of the country during Covid-19.
She was virtually speaking at the High-Level Side Event to the UN General Assembly Session on Thursday.
She said Prime Minister Imran Khan announced over one billion dollars for poor segment of society despite having economic constraints.
She said our flagship program Ehsaas targets different disadvantaged individuals including women and children through a coordinated mechanism.
