CM Buzdar has instructed all officers to remain present in field.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has on Friday ordered the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) to drain out rainwater from low-lying areas of Lahore as soon as possible.

The CM has directed to speed up the operation and use all resources in this regard. He further instructed all the officers to remain present in the field, stressing that he will not spare any negligence.

Usman Buzdar said, “Special arrangements should be made to keep the traffic flow running and the citizens should not face trouble. The report of entire operation of draining out rainwater must be submitted to the CM Office with timeline.”

It is pertinent to mention that rainwater has inundated low-lying areas and underpasses in Lahore, badly affecting the flow of traffic. The monsoon spell has also tripped over 130 electricity feeders in several parts of the metropolis.
