Met Office has predicted more rains in Karachi.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rainwater in most areas of Karachi has still not been drained out as Bhittai Abad, Grey River Apartments, Lines Area, Korangi Crossing and other parts of the city are on Saturday inundated.

Helpless locals are using buckets to keep water out of homes which has destroyed household items. Water has not been drained out from Korangi Crossing and Grey River Apartments for two days due to the government’s negligence.

Rain and sewerage water entered homes in Lines Area. Yusuf Goth near Surjani Town, Abdul Rehman Goth and Sachal Goth are also badly affected.

Power supply in some areas of the metropolis has not been restored even after two days. Electricity is cut off in Mehmoodabad, Junejo Town, Akhtarabad and other areas.

On the other hand, the Met Office has predicted more rains in Karachi, Thatta, Hyderabad and Badin. The new spell is likely to continue for three days in Sindh and Balochistan. It is feared that the downpours will cause urban flooding and inundate low-lying areas of lower Sindh.
