Govt bans Ghazi Force
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Interior Ministry has banned an organization called Ghazi Force. The notification was issued in this regard.
According to a notification issued by the Interior Ministry, Ghazi Force was banned under Section 11 (a) 1 (b) of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
A copy of the notification has been sent to all departments including DG Nekta, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and National Security Council.
It should be noted that after the ban, the number of organizations and groups included in the ban list of the Interior Ministry has increased to 78.
Ghazi Force is the fifth organization to be banned this year. Earlier, on August 19, the Khatam-ul-Anbiya organization was banned.
Similarly, on May 7, the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz Ariser Group, the Sindh Revolutionary Army and the Sindh Liberation Army were banned.
The process of compiling a list of banned organizations began on August 14, 2001, when Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Sipah-e-Muhammad Pakistan were banned.
Later, on January 14, 2002, the government banned Jaish-e-Muhammad, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Islami and Tehreek-e-Nifaz Shariat-e-Muhammad.
It may be recalled that on August 21, Pakistan imposed strict sanctions on more than 88 terrorists belonging to ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban and other organizations.
The notification issued by the Foreign Ministry includes sanctions on terrorists under 21 UN Security Council resolutions, including the freezing of assets, travel and the sale and purchase of weapons.
Two separate sanction notifications were issued ordering immediate freezing of all assets, accounts or financial resources of banned organizations, terrorist elements and individuals without any prior notice.
