CM Punjab orders administration to drain out rain water

Low-lying areas in Lahore are inundated due to heavy rains.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar On Thursday expressed anger over administration’s failure to drain out water from low-lying areas following heavy rains in the provincial capital and directed the concerned officials to drain out rainwater.

Usman Buzdar took officials to task over their failure to drain out water and ordered the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and management to bring into effect all resources for water drainage from main and link roads in the least possible time.

The chief minister directed all officers to remain in field to personally supervise the operation and warned that no carelessness will be tolerated.

It is pertinent here to mention that heavy rains have inundated low-lying areas in Lahore and power outages have further added difficulties to people’s lives.
