The years first total lunar eclipse will occur on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department says the eclipse will be 50 minutes long and it will be visible to many countries, including Pakistan.Karachi University Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics Director Professor Dr Muhammad Shahid Qureshi said that the eclipse will occur on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.The eclipse visibility path will be over east Africa, Mid East, Asia and western Australia and it will not be visible from Americas and Europe. The eclipse will be a rare one because this times the moon will pass directly through the center of the earth’s shadow cone – an event that hasn’t happened in 11 years and won’t happen again until 2018.
