KARACHI (Dunya News) – A series of special flights to bring back Pakistanis stranded abroad is underway by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

According to CAA spokesman, Prime Minister Imran Khan is personally monitoring the situation of flights bringing back Pakistanis. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has 16 flights scheduled to bring back unemployed Pakistanis from the UAE. In addition, special flights to the UK and Canada are also being operated.

Other than this, special flights have also been arranged for Africa and the United States, the statement said. According to rough estimates, about 35,000 Pakistanis seek to return to the country.

On return, passengers will be quarantined for 48 hours and all passengers will have to go through the testing. The statement advises Pakistanis stuck abroad to immediately contact the relevant Pakistani Embassy for repatriation.
