Major Gen Muhammad Nawaz and his son Captain Asaf Nawaz were laid to rest in their native village.

Lieutenant Colonal Amer Abbas was laid to rest in the graveyard of Rahimpur at Sialkot whereas Subedar Obaidullah was buried at village Satyana in the suburb of Sialkot.Before this, their dead bodies were brought to Rangers Headquarters Lahore where a Rangers contingent accorded them guard of honour.Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Punjab Governor Latif Khosa, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, secretary interior, corps commander, thePunjab Police inspector general and others also offered the funeral prayer of the martyrs.
