PM's public friendly policies are improving the lives of people: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that government has written a letter to UK for deportation of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Talking to media after cabinet meeting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the purpose for which Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was sent to London has not been fulfilled as he has not been admitted in any hospital in 105 days.

Dr Firdous said that President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif has always used the law as per his convenience and urged him to return to the country if he believes in rule of law.

Special Assistant informed the media that a new coronavirus case has been confirmed, taking the total in the country to five.

Dr. Firdous also said that Minister for Power briefed the cabinet about issues of electricity sector including excessive electricity bills, power theft, line losses and circular debt.

She added that authorities are facing issues in recovery of electricity bills in FATA, Quetta and interior Sindh. However, the Prime Minister directed the concerned ministers to take action in this regard.

She told the media that PM took notice of mistreatment of the children in schools and added that PM’s public friendly policies are improving lives of people.
