PM Imran approves Sindh CM's request to replace IG Kaleem Imam

Sindh Governor supported the demand for replacement of the IG.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday held a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Imran Ismail at the Governor House to deliberate on the provincial affairs.

During the meeting, PM Imran approved the request of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on replacing IG Sindh Kaleem Imam.

According to sources, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also supported the demand for replacement of the IG. During the meeting, it was agreed to appoint one of the nominated officers as the new Sindh IG, while the premier was also apprised about the decisions and reservations of the Sindh Cabinet.

The Prime Minister also met with the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) delegation which expressed their full confidence in Imran Khan s leadership and assured him of full cooperation. The political situation of Sindh was also discussed in detail during the meeting.

Meanwhile, development projects and other important matters were discussed in the meeting. It is pertinent to mention here that the premier reached Karachi on a day-long visit today. Murad Ali Shah and Imran Ismail received him at the airport.

Importantly, PM Imran Khan did not hold meeting with important ally, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P). The MQM-P has confirmed the reports of not receiving any invitation to meet the prime minister.

Let it be known that MQM-P had expressed the desire that the PM Imran should visit Bahadurabad during his Karachi visit.
