XDR typhoid breaks out in Sindh

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Medical experts have warned that XDR typhoid cases in Sindh are more than the official figures, and parents should get their children vaccinated.
According to details, dangerous outbreak of drug resistance typhoid in Sindh has left thousands of children sick. According to official statistics, 13 thousand cases of XDR typhoid were reported in the province, while the experts claim that the actual number is three times higher.
Medical experts stated consumption of polluted water, pollution and indiscriminate use of antibiotics are the cause of this deadly typhoid. “There are no side effects of the typhoid vaccine, but the vaccine protects children from the deadly disease for up to five years”, added experts.
