Pakistan to continue political, diplomatic, moral support of Kashmiris: FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday said that the way Prime Minister Imran Khan presented Kashmir case in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session is unprecedented.

He said this while presiding over fourth meeting of the Kashmir cell in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Kashmir Committee Chairman Syed Fakhar Imam, civil-military leaders and senior officials attended the meeting.

The foreign minister apprised the meeting about PM Imran Khan’s recent US visit said that around 120 heads of the states and organisations had been contacted during the visit and exposed false stance of India.

Qureshi further said that the way PM Imran Khan presented Kashmir case in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session, was unprecedented, adding that voices were being raised around the world against Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir.

He said, “A joint declaration of OIC Contact Group on Kashmir issue was a welcoming step.”

Qureshi went on to say that Pakistan will continue political, diplomatic and moral support of Kashmiris.
