Protestors stage sit-in against killing of 3 during operation

Residents of Layari protested against the death of three persons during Rangers operation.

Angry protester staged a sit-in at the National Highway and blocked the traffic.Owing to the tense situation in the area the shops and business centres were shut down.In Kalakot Layari, Ismael alias Footballer, Sharif Polka and George Masih were killed during the operation. Protesters staged sit-in on the arrest of People’s Peace Committee head Shahid Rehman along with 13 others. Women and children also participated in the demonstration. The vehicles coming from the Steals Mills, Gulshan-e- Hadid, Landhi and Korangi were blocked. The protestors alleged instead of arresting the culprits, innocent people are becoming the victims of the operation. Tension remains very high in the areas of Shah Baig Lane, Kalakot, Chakiwara, Ata Chowk, Moosa Lane and Limar Market.
