BRUSSELS (Dunya News) – European Union on Tuesday will deliberate upon the escalating Kashmir unrest following abrogation of Article 370 by Narendra Modi-led Indian government in today’s session.

According to details, human right representatives will brief the participants over Indian atrocities and human right violations in the occupied valley.

Earlier, Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament had discussed the situation in occupied Kashmir and condemned Indian decision to scrap special status of the valley.

European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs held an in-camera session to talk on the Kashmir anarchy.

They also expressed concern over the worsening situation of basic human rights, safety and security of the people in the occupied region, which has been under curfew since 05 August 2019.

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider while giving details of the meeting said that it was the first session of Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament on Kashmir issue. “This meeting of the European Union on Kashmir is a great success,” he said.

He further said that India has to come to the negotiating table.
