Police baton charge protesting teachers in Karachi
Protesting teachers are demanding to regularize their jobs.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Teachers from across Sindh staged a protest at the Karachi Press Club on Sunday and were met with batons and water cannons when they attempted to move their protest to the Chief Minister House.
As per details, Police used tear gas and water cannons to dismiss the protestors.
Protesting teachers are demanding to regularize their jobs.
One teacher got injured due to police action while 2 others were arrested.
Meanwhile, the teachers ended their protest after successful negotiations with administration.
The teacher’s delegation said our first demand was to release our prisoners and secondly we wanted government to permanent head masters.
They said DC South assured that our demands would reach CM office so we are ending this protest but we will protest again tomorrow in front of press club.
They said the protest would continue till the demands are accepted.
