Shahbaz Gill resigns as Punjab CM�s spokesman
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Usman Buzdar’s spokesman, Dr Shahbaz Gill on Friday has resigned from his post.
Sources told that the spokesman has stepped down as it was hard for him to defend poor governance of the incumbent government in Punjab province.
Sources told that Shahbaz Gill also used to muddle with police and district officers and CM Buzdar barred him from going on any visit with him. He also pointed out in several meetings that he should not interrupt the matters.
According to sources, CM Buzdar had expressed strong displeasure at the intervention of former spokesperson. He had even criticized ministers and party leaders a few days ago.
Sources further stated that CM Buzdar made Prime Minister Imran Khan aware that Shahbaz Gill is against their vision, on which he responded quickly and approved his replacement.
On the other hand, provincial government has also sacked adviser to Punjab CM, Awn Chaudhry and replaced him with Park and Horticulture (PHA) chairman Asif Mehmood.
