No protection given to Osama: Salman Bashir

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir said that no state institution provided hideout to Osama Bin Laden.

Briefing the parliamentary committee on defence about Abbottabad operation, Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir rejected the allegations of CIA chief and the Western media levelled against Pakistan.He said that Pakistan rendered more sacrifice than others in the war against terrorism.The members of the committee expressed their anger over the ignorance of Pakistan’s agencies about the Abbottabad operation. They said that the people were not informed about the real situation.He said that the operation was completed but the agencies were unaware, while US President Obama informed about Osama’s death.
