45 thousand ghost employees revealed in government departments of Baluchistan
The main reason behind backwardness of the province is unknown employees in government sector.
QUETTA (Dunya News) – It has been revealed that some 45000 ghost employees are working in different departments under Baluchistan government.
Startling revelations surfaced said no one paid heed to chief secretary’s report two years ago and a loss of millions was inflicted to national kitty. Young boys of age 20 years are also receiving pensions.
As per details, the main reason behind backwardness of the province is unknown employees in government sector. That is why non developmental budget is spent to pay government servants and their pensions.
A committee formed under former chief secretary to unveil the ghost employees in government sector prepared a report that said 45000 ghost employees are working in government departments.
The report said the ghost employees include Afghan refugees and young pensioners. The Inquiry report was sent to NAB and other investigation authorities but no one paid heed to this matter.
After the news of bogus employees surfaced, NAB started investigating the case and sought details from different departments including help from NADRA.
Baluchistan education department has also withheld the dues of 5000 employees and they have been asked through advertisements to appear before departmental committees. The purpose is to take action against bogus employees to save national kitty from further damage.
