COAS ordered an investigation into Osama's presence in Abbottabad; took strict notice of operation.
Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani took strict notice of the illegal US operation on Pakistani soil, stating that any similar future activity will result in a deterioration of the relationship between the US and Pakistan. He also ordered a comprehensive investigation into Osamas presence in the country, 800 meters from the countrys premiere military academy, and a few kilometers from the national capital.He was presiding over the Corps Commanders Conference this afternoon.According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Shuja Pasha gave a detailed briefing to the participants the Corps Commanders conference held this afternoon in Rawalpindi.The briefing revealed that the intelligence regarding Osama’s presence in the country was incomplete, and that the CIA was not entirely forthcoming about his whereabouts to the Pakistani military intelligence. DG Pasha also said that ISI had been instrumental in capturing over a hundred of the deadliest operatives in Al-Qaeda.DG Pasha also established that Pakistan’s strategic assets were in good hands and not tampered with in any form. The briefing also informed the Corps Commanders of the plan to reduce the number of US operatives on Pakistani soil.It was categorically established that no attempts at foul play by India will go unnoticed, and that India should not assume anything about the capacity and willpower of the Pakistani military might.
