Jahangir Tareen to hold meeting with MQM for alliance

Sources say that MQM has asked federal government to grant funds to Mayor Karachi and Hyderabad.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government to have talks with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM) for alliance after successfully allying with Balochistan National Party (BNP Mengal).

According to Dunya News sources, the responsibility to form alliance with MQM has been handed to the PTI leader Jahangir Tareen Khan. Jahangir Tareen is scheduled to meet MQM’s delegation today whereas the meeting will happen in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s chamber.

Sources say that MQM has asked federal government to grant funds to Mayor Karachi and Hyderabad.

While responding to a question about not going to the Senate, he expressed that he will fulfill his term with Senate chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani. He also laughed off a question asked about using an airplane this time.

On June 27, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Balochistan National Party-Mengal made new pacts as the proximity between government and its ally BNP-M increased.

According to the details on six point agendas, PM Khan and BNP chief Akhtar Mengal agreed to raise the employment quota by 6 per cent in Balochistan whereas developmental projects will also begin.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Pervez Khattak and Akhtar Mengal were informed with meeting agreements made in the joint press conference. Pervez Khattak expressed to make refineries and small dams in Balochistan, whereas even opportunities for employment will also be provided.

BNP chief expressed gratitude and said that misunderstanding happened due to lack of plans implementation.
