Can remove govt by running movement in or outside the Assembly: Khaqan Abbasi

Our goal is not to rule but to resolve the matters of public, said Shahid Khaqan.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former premier and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said on Thursday that they are ready to remove and replace the government in order to resolve the matters of Pakistan.
Talking in Dunya News programme ‘Nuqta-e-Nazar’, he expressed that word ‘selected’ is not non-parliamentary. “Prime Minister Imran Khan will be answered in the same way he behaves,” he continued. He added that unfortunately the Speaker is also acting as their party member.
Abbasi said that eight parties participated in the All Parties Conference (APC) where every matter was reviewed, and also some parties confessed to mistakes they made in the past. “Our goal is not to be a ruling party but to resolve the matters of the masses,” he added. The opposition is united and has power. We’re going to make plans according to the public’s ease, he continued.
PML-N leader asserted that government was in a better situation when they left it where they curbed the terrorism and provided CPEC to the Pakistan whereas current PTI-led government has failed to resolve the issues and destroyed the economy of Pakistan.
While responding to a question, former premier said that they accepted the elections to save democracy from derailing. “We can remove the government by running a movement inside or outside the Assembly”, he expressed. He also added that no party has majority in the Assembly. Maulana Fazlur Rehman didn’t talk about resignation in the APC meeting yesterday but we will resign if we have to, it is not the first but last option, he added.
Referring to the question asked about the National Accountability Bureau, he said that he has answered NAB’s questions, and he has already faced such case, whereas such cases are being used against politicians. “It does not make me anxious now”, he added.
