NA Speaker expunges 'selected' word by Shehbaz Sharif for PM Imran.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif Thursday lashed out at the government over rupee devaluation.

While addressing the House, Shehbaz Sharif used the word ‘selected’ for Prime Minister Imran Khan as the premier arrived in the assembly and the House witnessed uproar.

Meanwhile, NA Speaker Asad Qaiser ordered to expunge the word ‘selected’.

Shehbaz Sharif said dollar rate rised by Rs7 in the last 24 hours and debt burden on national exchequer has further increased by Rs700 billion.

Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif expressed resentment over the absence of opposition members in NA session.

During the meeting of parliamentary party, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Khurshid Shah told that 20 members skipped yesterday’s (Wednesday) important session. 16 Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), four PPP leaders were not present in the House at the time of voting, he continued.

Shehbaz Sharif told that he was unable to attend the session due to All Parties Conference (APC) and asked other absent members where were they at the time of voting.

He further strictly directed the opposition leaders to ensure their presence in every NA session.

The participants also held final consultation over the decisions taken in APC and also deliberated on the constitutional complications regarding change of Senate chairman.
