Govt cannot influence NAB: FM Qureshi
Economic stability is the key to independent foreign policy: Qureshi
LONDON (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said NAB is an independent institution and government cannot influence it. He said NAB is taking actions as per law and constitution.
Talking to a presser in London, he said PTI did not make corruption cases against Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. He said NAB has filed references in the court and now the court would decide what to do.
Qureshi said government cannot intervene in the affairs of NAB, adding that both Nawaz and Zardari made cases against each other. He said NAB’s duty is to curb corruption and promote accountability.
Earlier, while talking to Pakistani business community in London he said past governments burdened the country under heavy loans and put economy on the verge of collapse. He said we are pulling the economy out of swamp.
He said government’s priority is to promote tourism in Pakistan so that people from across the world could visit the beautiful land to spend vacations. He said economic stability is the key to independent foreign policy.
