LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Information Minister Samsam Bukhari while condemning the Data Darbar blast today (May 8) said there was no prior notification or information about the horrific incident..
Talking in Dunya News’ talk show ‘Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath’, Samsam Bukhari claimed about having no prior information and said that the details regarding the blast will surface in few days.
Provincial Information Minister expressed that the families of martyrs will be fully supported. “He who sheds the blood of innocent citizens is the enemy of humanity,” he said.
He asserted that we have to fight those who do brain-washing of people for such terror attacks. One of the elements is enemy countries who fund such people, he added.
Earlier today, at least 10 people, including four elite force personnel, a security guard and five civilians, were martyred and 30 others sustained critical wounds in a suicide attack targeting vehicle of Elite Force near the entrance gate for female visitors to the 11th-century Data Darbar (shrine) in Lahore.
Lahore police released the initial report of Data Darbar suicide bombing where the suspect has been identified through the CCTV footage. His hand has been sent to National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) for fingerprint recognition.
As per report, a teenager around 15 to 16 years old came through the adjacent street to the shrine and blew himself up targeting the law enforcement van. The incident took place at 8:54am at the Gate 2 of the shrine.
