NAB withdraws summons served on Shehbaz's wife, daughters

NAB Chairman has decided to send questionnaire to Shehbaz's wife and daughters.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday has withdrawn summons served on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif family’s women. 

According to statement, NAB Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has decided to send questionnaire to Shehbaz’s wife Nusrat and daughters Rabia Imran and Javeria Ali for required information today.

The statement further stated this step has shown that NAB respects women.

On the other hand, Sharif family decided to challenge notices issued by NAB in Lahore High Court (LHC).

Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz called his legal team to discuss notices issued to his mother and sisters. A petition will be filed in the high court after consultation with the team.

Earlier, NAB had summoned ex-Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif’s wife and his two daughters in the assets beyond means case.

Nusrat Shehbaz was asked to appear personally before NAB Lahore on April 17, whereas, Rabia will appear on 18th and Javeria will appear on 19th April.
