Assets beyond means case: NAB summons Akram Durrani

NAB stated that Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader allegedly alloted plots to his loved ones in DHA.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned former federal minister Akram Durrani over assests beyond means case in Rawalpindi office on April 11.
NAB stated that Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader allegedly alloted plots to his loved ones in DHA foundation which suffered great losses to the national exchequer.
Akram Durrani served as the Chief Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa from 2002 to 2007. He served as federal minister for Housing and Works, in the Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018.
According to the NAB, complaint against Akram Durrani is in inquiry process.
Sources said that JUI-F leader will be handed a questionnaire during inquiry.
Last year, NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal ordered an inquiry against former federal minister over misuse of power and illegal allotment of plots.
