Faisalabad: Two terrorists killed in CTD operation

Two terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in exchange of fire with CTD in Faisalabad on Monday.

FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - Two terrorists of a banned outfit were killed in exchange of fire with Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in Faisalabad on Monday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, CTD personnel conducted an operation during which terrorists present in the area opened fire. The law enforcement agencies returned the fire due to which two terrorists were killed.

The killed terrorists were identified as Adeel Hafeez and Usman Haroon and were living in Faisalabad in a rented house. They were planning to carry out attack on security agencies in the city.

According to CTD spokesperson, the dead terrorists were involved in killing security agency officers in Multan. They were also involved in kidnapping of US citizen Warren Weinstein and former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son Ali Haider Gilani.

The CTD personnel also recovered Suicide jacket, hand grenades and other arms during the operation.
