PM Imran, politicos condemn killing of Ali Raza Abidi

Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the murder of Ali Raza Abidi.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the killing of former member national assembly (MNA), and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Ali Raza Abidi who was gunned down on Tuesday in front of his residence in Karachi.

Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the death of Ali Raza Abidi and sought a report over the incident from the concerned authorities. The PM also prayed for the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.

President Dr Arif Alvi has expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the death of Ali Raza Abidi and prayed for his loved ones.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah condoled the death of Ali Raza Abidi with the bereaved family and also issued orders to arrest the killers immediately.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the death of Ali Raza Abidi. He termed the killing of Ali Raza Abidi and conspiracy to sabotage peace in Karachi.

Former MQM MNA Syed Ali Raza Abidi was gunned down by some unidentified armed assailants in front of his residence at Khayaban-e-Ittehad in Karachi on Tuesday.

He was rushed to PNS Shifa hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. His postmortem report showed that Abidi sustained three bullet wounds – one on his chest, one on his back and one on his shoulder.

Abidi’s body was shifted to Imam Bargha Yasrab after the postmortem. Sources said that Ali Raza Abidi funeral prayer will be offered after Zuhr prayer at the Imam Bargha Yasrab in Defence Phase-IV.
