Use of mobile phones by NAB officials banned

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Monday banned the use of mobile phones by the anti-graft watchdog officials.

According to Dunya News sources, it would be compulsory for the grade 18 officials to wear uniform, while biometric system has also been implemented to ensure attendance.

Sources said that a ban has also been imposed on arrival of private guests and meetings.

The NAB chairman has issued orders in this regard.

It is pertinent here to mention that Justice (r) Javed Iqbal had banned has directed the officials to distance away from meeting with political personalities.

Directing the officials to away from politicians, chairman NAB said that the officials meeting with politicians against the institute’s code of conduct.

“Without prior permission from chairman NAB the meetings of officials is a violation of TCS Rules 2002,” he said. He also warned that those found involved in the violation of TCS rules can be sacked from the job.

The circular has been sent to all bureaus of the NAB in this connection.
