The federal government filed a review petition in the Supreme Court on Saturday against the verdict in which Justice Deedar Shah’s appointment as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman was invalidated. It was requested in the petition that Deedar’s disqualification and content against the Law Ministry should be removed from the verdict.The Supreme Court had disqualified Deedar’s appointment as the NAB chairman, saying that he was disqualified due to the Law Ministry as the ministry had reissued a notification for his appointment and he could not be appointed as the NAB chairman again.
