Karachi: Traders observes strike to protest Rainbow centre blast

At least one man was killed and 18 were injured in an explosion outside Rainbow Centre, on Thursday.

Unidentified men threw a handmade grenade near a fruit cart outside the centre, in Karachi. Worker of a secret agency, Abdul Razzaq, was critically injured and taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.Police and Rangers surrounded the area after the bomb explosion and the bomb disposal squad was called in. Superintendent of Police Ali Raza said that the pin and part of the handmade grenade were recovered. In condemnation of the attack, Rainbow Centre traders called for a strike, as shops remain closed on Friday.
