LHC dismisses petition against Davis release

The Lahore High Court on Wednesday accepted a plea challenging an increase in petroleum prices.

A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC), maintaining that the blood money law was misused to secure US gunman Raymond Davis release. The petitioner’s lawyer, Rana Ilmuddin Ghazi, said that there were no signatures of Fahim and Faizan’s heirs on the settlement deeds.The court started the hearing, but no counsel for the petitioner presented. The court dismissed the petition on non persuasion.While, the court has accepted the petition for hearing against the increase in petroleum prices. The court ordered the federal government to submit its reply within 15 days.
