First phase of 6th housing and population census has started in Pakistan on Tuesday.

Foreign nationals would also be enumerated except diplomatic personnel and their families.According to the schedule, housing census will begin with house listing operation from April 5 to 19, which will be followed the main population census by end of August or beginning of September this year.Both phases will be completed within 15 days each and the final report of the 6th population and housing census would be submitted to the government by December this year. The Population Census Organisation (PCO) has established as many as 145,844 census blocks all across the country.
