Murree records snow fall in April after 40 years

A spell of rain and snow falling is continued in different parts of country.

Murree has seen unexpected snow fall in the month of April after 40 years. The weather has turned cold in Azad Kashmir, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and upper Punjab.According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department sources, snowfall in Murree in the month of April was earlier recorded in 1996. Tourists and locals were astonished after witnessing this unusual weather change in Murree.It is expected that isolated rain will continue during the next 24 hours in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Another westerly wave is likely to cause isolated rain on weekend.
