Karachi: Sindh CM announces stern action against extortionists

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said that stern action against the extortionists will be taken to maintain law and order in Karachi.

Talking to a delegation of industrialists at Chief Minister House, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the maintenance of law and order and protection of life and property of the people was the main responsibility of the government.Issuing the order to CCPO Karachi, the Sindh Chief Minister directed that the community policing system should be revised, while a solid police system should be established in trade centres, Site area and the housing societies.The CM said that these actions were necessary to curb the incidents of extortion, kidnapping, and dacoity from the city. Launching of a viable campaign against holding of unlicensed weapons was also discussed in the meeting.
