PML-N's Saad, Abbasi submit nomination papers for by-polls
The by-elections on vacated seats will be held on October 14.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Thursday has submitted his nomination papers for NA-131 by-elections.
In a major upset on July 25, Khan thrashed PML-N’s strong candidate in NA-131 while clean sweeping four other constituencies. PTI chief obtained 84,313 votes in a nail-biting contest against Saad Rafique who secured 83,633 votes.
On the other hand, ex-Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has also filed his nomination papers for NA-124, the seat vacated by PML-N’s Hamza Shahbaz Sharif.
It is to be mentioned here that the by-elections on vacated seats will be held on October 14.
