Prime ministers of Pakistan and India were introduced with both the teams after the anthem ceremony.

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh reached the stadium together before the toss.Both the leaders shook hands with the players after the anthem ceremony.As this is a very short trip, PM Gilani will return to Pakistan tonight. The fifteen member delegation accompanying Prime Minister Gilani will include Asfandyar Wali, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Sherry Rehman, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and Federal Ministers Hina Rabbani Khar, Ahmad Mukhtar, Khurshid Shah, Engineer Shaukat Ullah, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Laiq Ahmad and and Munir Aurakzai.
